I'd like an editing feature in DP similar to Final Cut Pro (and a few PC
audio editors actually) like ripple edit.

two small requests to help with managing audio in larger projects;
1-Provide an option in the sequence editor that allows naming the sound file and the sound-byte simultaneously (a nice existing PT feature),
2- Re-instate the ability to color label the sound-bytes in the sound byte/info window (this was in 3.11 but never made it to OS X)
I do a lot of editing and sound-byte creation in DP and the lack of these features makes it a pain to keep track of, correctly name and then find the product in the audio files folder.

There are still many features in DP that I haven't got round to learning and I have been having the commands open to stimulate my curiousity.
What would be a real bonus would be to click on a command in the command window and it open the appropriate help section. I could learn a command each time I felt curious and absorb it all slowly, command by command this way.
An easy thing to implement I reckon but really handy for less experienced users..

I do this in the sequence editor if you open the side window which allows you to turn on/off whether each track appears or not.Jaysplace101 wrote:The ability to hide tracks you are not using (or are just not working with at the moment.) Not just in the mixer, but in the tracks and edit window. Paris had this and it was so great. I've always missed it.

I would also like a way (please tell me if this already exists) to click to enlarge/shrink a track vertically immediately. Also to access the horizontal zoom buttons via the mouse wheel would be really quick (maybe hold down a key and it become zoom). I spend too much time zooming in/out with the buttons then going back to where I was on the sequence. Tracktion does these last things really well.

When you light an audio region in the track window or seq window, I would like to be able to see the same region or part of region is high-lighted in the sound bite window so you can see what audio file you may looking at.
Please give us the ability to selection a range in the time line and get the total selected range length (in min, sec, time code, beats etc.) Protools does this and it's a real hassle to not be able to grab a range and see long long it is min and sec.
Please give us other bounce options. Such as dual mono, stereo, AIFF, SD2, etc.
Also allow bounce tracks to retain original time stamp.
