Busses Not Working

Post by scottlawson »

Oh, DP Gurus, please help! Suddenly, none of my busses are producing audio. This is true both of tracks (i.e., output of a track or tracks is sent to a bus or bus pair and input of a separate audio track is that same bus or bus pair) and aux sends. It is true both on old projects (i.e., projects already done and in the can on which the busses previously produced audio just fine) and new projects (i.e., those created after the problem was discovered). To make matters more mysterious, the busses are showing up on the meter (meaning, the audio is registering dynamically in the appropriate bus), but not in the mixing board or in the audio.

The two differences between my setup when the busses were previously working and now is that I updated the Mac OS from 10.7 to 10.8 and the DP from 7.21 to 7.24. Interface remains the 896 HD.

Any ideas? Your help is much appreciated!

Three things I can think of:

Upgrade the driver to your interface.

Check the Bundles.

Check Audio/MIDI Setup (I think Apple did something to it).

Shot in the dark... check bundles like was said. Try unassigning and the re-assigning the buss to the actual physical outputs. I had that happen to me once and I got it back that way. Weird.
