2408mk3: Quick questions about analog input routing

Post by CurtZHP »

On the 2408mk3, if I have all my banks set to TDIF, does that essentially prevent signals on the analog inputs from going anywhere? In other words, are the analog ins only active as long as one of the banks is set to "Analog?"

Also, if I do set a bank to Analog, is it possible for the signals coming into those inputs to be passed directly to the analog outputs?

Thanks!

P.S. I did :rtfmmad: but the manual from the website features a version of CueMix that I've never seen, hence my confusion.

Most of your questions are answered on the website: http://www.motu.com/products/pciaudio/2408
Connect up to four interfaces to the included PCI-424 card for an expanded system capable of 96 simultaneous active input and output connections at 96kHz.
96/4=24, therefore each 2408 can do 24 channels simultaneously. It also says this here.
On-board mixing and monitoring matrix allows you to mix up to 96 channels of 96kHz audio with the same near-zero latency as today’s latest digital mixers and no processor load.
So yes, any input to any output directly via CueMix.
