Is your DP 461 crashing?

I did the DP 461 update followed by a "permissions" repair and restart.

When I ran DP461 it carashed!


Is yours carashing?

Crashed during Start Up , I did a new install of the Pluggos , repair
Permissions , now it works , so far

TIP:
Usually, when you get a crash, try running without plugins --and then
add progressively until the crashing plugin shows up.

I've had a number of times where loading something new crashed DP on startup before I load a project. Then when I try again, it is like it did whatever, and this time it works perfectly. The has happened at various times with various versions, not just now. After the one-time crash, everything seems a-ok.

Hello Folks. It nice to be part of a community of people who uses the same software. I'll try to keep my issue brief.

For the most part, I have been running DP4.52 with MachFive & SampleTank, 16 Audio Tracks & Effects (MOTU) with zero problems. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for DP4.61. When I upgraded to 4.61, I could open a previous DP 4.52 file, but when I try to save my changes, DP would crash, then a message would appear to report the bug to apple.

I usually slow to upgrade. When my system is running fine, I HATE to make changes to it.
Any advice at this point would be very welcome.

Updated today to DP 4.6.1, Tiger 10.4.3 and all the latest updates (Ik Media, Machfive etc etc) till sofar everything feels smoother.

Still having some issues when starting DP sometimes it won't launch and afterclicking "reopen" it opens or after a few tries...shame on you Motu....i removed the Isight plug-in. A program should start right away....all my plug-ins are oke. When they won't load you bet DP won't launch, this has been an issue since DP 4.5 , hope they fix this soon.

Using the File> Open will work a lot of times, or the get info trick, Get Info select open with (as an example) 4.5 than change it to 4.6.1 set change all and than try to launch your file (song). Most of the time this works.

Used Diskwarrior 3.0.3 , noticed that my permissions are always changed when using Disk Utillty. I think its a Tiger bug....it also gets the repairs faster done...

When using the new Sampletank 2.1 don't forget to set the Root folder other wise the instrument list stays empty, if you are using 2.1x you have to re-group(enter) your instruments, because the new version won't remember the old settings. so notate which instruments/ sounds you used.

Update: Be aware about installing the new Sampletank 2.1 on one of my songs i'm having serious issues with it its crashing DP 4.6.1 also try to open the song in 4.6 but same problems here...beachball comes up the Sampletank box shows up and boom.......gone......

I am convinced that DP 461 needs another update because it keeps crashing in TIGER.

I haven't had any crashing, but Lame mp3 no longer works. It bounces the file, but it is silent. Aiff works fine.

I had the chance to use 4.61 with Atmosphere today, and it kept crashing here when using Atmosphere.

All other plugins seem to work fine.
