Re: Issue with 32 Lives and DP 8.05
As James already stated, 32Lives takes care of Miroslav Philharmonik in DP 64bit.

Yeah... but it's a no-go for Altiverb 6. I wrote the 32 Lives developer and he said Altiberb support broke in the last version. I just cant afford to fork out $200+ for the Altiverb 7 upgrade right now.daniel.sneed wrote:As James already stated, 32Lives takes care of Miroslav Philharmonik in DP 64bit.

Issue with 32 Lives and DP 8.05
Yep. I got the newest version. There are a couple of topics going on about bridging. I'm still experimenting. I've been trying to arrive at something stable. I've been leaning toward jBridgeM for most things, but need to make a project that is either ONLY 32 Lives or ONLY jBridgeM to really ascertain the stability of each as it's hard to tell which is to blame if there's a crash with both running in the background.
Although it's not as polished, I like the fact that jBridgeM gives the user more options on how it treats each plug-in. The "Performance Mode" for instance lessens the CPU hit of Slate FG-X considerably—although soon as Slate releases the 64-bit AU this will be a moot point.
One issue of particular interest to me is which of the two bridging solutions here handles Liquid Mix better. I had an issue with meters on the Liquid Mix hardware not updating during playback after updating my Mac to Mavericks. I solved this by disabling the new "App Nap" feature in Mavericks on the Liquid Mix app and jBridgeM's "auxhost" app, by doing a "Get Info" on each and checking the "Prevent App Nap" option.
I stress that I haven't fully investigated 32 Lives properly, but now that there's a fix for Altiverb 6 supposedly, I'll give it a try. If the upgrade fee to go to Altiverb 7 were say $79 or something like that, instead of $215, I wouldn't even bother... but that's another issue. If AudioEase has a sale, perhaps then I'll forget wrapping Altiverb 6.
Oh and I still have an issue with a old plug I really love—BetaBugs MonstaChorus. The VST works fine in jBridgeM, but the AU bridged in 32 Lives will produce a "stuck CD" sound if you stop playback in DP while the plug is passing audio.

Hey James, did you ever try Bidule?James Steele wrote: Oh and I still have an issue with a old plug I really love—BetaBugs MonstaChorus. The VST works fine in jBridgeM, but the AU bridged in 32 Lives will produce a "stuck CD" sound if you stop playback in DP while the plug is passing audio.
Seems to be a pretty good solution.
I wonder if it could fix your MonstaChorus.
All is well

No... haven't tried it. I've been resisting it. I guess I tried it once years ago and I found it a bit confusing. Also I hear you need to use ReWire? I'm hoping eventually I'll only have a few plugs at most that need bridging and then either 32 Lives or jBridgeM will be a more convenient and robust solution by then. Besides, I've already spent money on both of them at this point, so I'm going to let it play out a bit longer.waterstrum wrote:Hey James, did you ever try Bidule?James Steele wrote: Oh and I still have an issue with a old plug I really love—BetaBugs MonstaChorus.
