Window size is everything

Post by lampostudio »

I am using a MacBook Pro computer (OSX 10.8.5 DP7) so as far as I can tell I can only have one external monitor on this laptop, at least that is what I am told.
My question is this. If I have one large external monitor is there a way that when you make a "window" in DP smaller the content of the window gets proportionately smaller. Normally when you make the "window" smaller the content of that window stays the same size and just gets chopped out. If there were a way to make everything smaller on a large monitor or an HDTV you could fit more open "windows" at the same time without chopping off the content of the window.
Thanks
