M5-3 missing in DP in 10.9? [Resolved]

Post by twistedtom »

I updated to DP8.05 and M5-3.2 and OSX to os 10.9, now when I open DP it says M5-3 can't be found. I had an iLok issue before, and had to re-install iLok manager, when DP scanned for AU's it marked M5-3 as bad. What can I do? :smash:

Probably it is looking for the MAS version if you mean "missing from project". See if you can instantiate the AU or VST version. I'm pretty sure they phased out the MAS version but can't check until I'm home.

Re: M5-3 missing in DP in 10.9? solved

I fumbled my way into fixing it; I went to DP's preferences, then to audio plug-ins. I looked for M5-3 in the AUs plug-ins but it was not there, I found it in the VST plug-ins, the box was un checked, so I checked it. After saving preferences M5-3 showed up in the drop down menu of DP8's MOTU VI list ( project- add instrument). I had to add it as a VI and deleted the AU one in the tracks window. Then I restarted DP and went back to DP's preferences, lo and behold the AU M5-3 showed up, it said it had failed, I think it did it do to the iLok issue. I clicked it's box to activate it and unchecked the VST M5 box. After saving preferences I got a warning about M5 having failed, but I pushed on. I deleted the VST M5 version in the tracks window and added M5-3 back; the AU version. It looks like all is well so far. Now lets see what else is in store for me, and you guys.
