Hi Guys,
Is there a way of controlling Cuemix FX via a MIDI controller like Allen and Heath Xone k2, which is a usb to MIDI open protocol? I was thinking I could use a Mackie Control Emulator software as a go between between the Ultralite and K2. Anyone know of a MCU that runs on a Windows platform that will work, can only see ones for Mac.
Also, is it possible to control the Ultralite from a DAW like DP8? I would like a way of controlling the inputs, outputs, and inbuilt reverb without switching screen from a DAW to Cuemix FX.
Hope someone can help!

You know you can do this now right? http://www.motu.com/newsitems/wireless- ... -your-iPad
Otherwise it's only HUI or MCU. DP can only act as a controllee as far as I know. In a control surface situation the Ultralite is the 'controlled' device and DP is also a 'controlled' device, you can't flip that around, though it would be cool to control the reverb with a plugin in the DAW.

Re: Ultralite Mk3 surface controller
Cheers for the reply buddy.
I'm not a big fan of apple, but the app is a pretty cool thing.
I'm going to try a MCU emulator to communicated between my controller and Cuemix. There really is not much out there in way of support for this, but I will post my findings.
If anyone knows of an emulator software for Windows please let me know, so far I'm only finding ones for mac os - http://www.opuslocus.com/lcxmu/

Try the guys at the Reaper forum, they're much more tweaky and recently found most of the HUI documentation. Google 'HUI protocol.'
Cycling74 forums also have a lot of programmers that may know of Windows MCU software.
Google found one in 2 secs: https://www.google.com/search?q=mcu+emu ... u+emulator
TouchOsc may be an iOS app, but it's underlying protocols are not: Send and receive Open Sound Control and MIDI messages over Wi-Fi and control CoreMIDI compatible software, hardware and mobile apps.
