I'm having trouble with my Ultralite and wonder if anyone else has had similar problems. I suspect it's hardware-fuxored and I need to get it repaired. It's about 3.5 years old.
Recently, suddenly, and all at once, my Ultralite has developed the following symptoms, without a noticeable cause:
- Dark LCD. It's still green but I can't read anything.
- Swirling digital noise in one of the output channels; a raised noise floor everywhere else. Sounds like loudish white noise.
- Mic/XLR inputs have stopped working.
Other 1/4" inputs are working normally, and the headphone jack is fine (no raised noise). I suspect something nasty inside.
Thoughts? What does it cost to repair this thing? I haven't been too happy with it as a sound card so I won't replace it with a new one, but I am willing to repair it.
Is my Ultralite almost dead?
