Still very much think it is a cap issue, but admittedly, the likelihood went down slightly based on that pic. Those are polymer caps, but even they can and do go bad...and the board is from 2009 as you've said.

If you read my post above, I too did not have any bsods other than when using the MOTU (and they also were Flash-involved-and startup too...all like you.) Replacing the bad caps is the fix...in all likelihood...but yes, excellent. New crash dump would be good to see in any case.

For sure, it is not the MOTU drivers' or firmware fault. (If you've been using the latest and not some version from years ago.) The last time MOTU drivers had a bsod issue was in 2009, and would only surface after at least 4-5 days of uptime. They fixed that within a day when I showed them.

Even with those polymer caps, Asrock is not known for its longevity or reliability. They are known to fail more often than average.

First thing is first: Let's get the software end into perfection, to rule out everything completely in that respect. Yep, crash dump for that. I'll be checking here.

On the upside, if it turns out to be surely a cap issue, replacements for those are extremely cheap and they're not very difficult to install. You can do it or if you don't own a soldering iron, you probably have a friend that does.

Just make sure polarity is correct when doing so.

The ones in the red circle are highest suspects to replace and the ones in the blue circle are a little less (but still so) suspect. It's due to the heat from the cpu and I bet you don't have an aftermarket high-performance cooler:
