Hi people,
I'm looking at grabbing a FW 828 Mk2. Can some of you answer a couple of questions please?
1) If i buy a unit from the US, can i run it on 240v in Australia OK?
2) What driver version do you guys recommend for XP 32bit and for W7 SP1 64bit? I might need to use it with both OSs.
3) Does it matter what firmware version the unit has?
Cheers.

Re: 828 Mk2. New user questions?
Using my 828mkII daily, but am in the US @120vac and running on a Mac, so can't offer much in the way of a response. Just love the MkII which has been solid as a rock for a number of years.
Re: 828 Mk2. New user questions?
As for driver versions, latest available for both.
If for some reason the latest doesn't work for XP, MOTU has a link to get one that they explicitly state WILL work for XP on their site: http://cdn-data.motu.com/downloads/audi ... 5333-1.zip
Always recommended to install the latest firmware available for any given unit.
And the 120/240v thing, yes, the unit will work for both as evidenced by the manual here on page 2 under the "Input" section: http://cdn-data.motu.com/manuals/firewi ... al_Mac.pdf
