I haven't bought any MOTU products yet because I don't know whether I can do the following with MOTU 24I/O Unit & MOTU 424-PCI ExpressCard or with any MOTU audio interface.
So the question is:
Is it possible to record playback using MOTU 24I/O Unit & MOTU 424-PCI ExpressCard or with any other MOTU interface? I mean to use my device to do lots of things, also record Skype conversations which is why I require such feature from my audio device. I need lot's of inputs for instruments, etc. so that is why I thought about MOTU 24I/O. Hopefully this will handle both multichannelrecording and direct playback recording without first physically routing output channels to input channels.
If there are no single MOTU audio interface that can handle this job, I would like to know which then can. Multiple inputs would be great to have also.
