Audio Problem with Motu AUDIO EXPRESS

Post by out4dolo »

Hardware: motu audio express
OS: windows 7
Problem: Stereo issue

For whatever reason......I'm not getting true stereo out of my Motu. It's like I'm getting all Mono.

Basically....I can hear through the headphones that it just sounds like mono...

Then, when I Move the "balance/pan" on winamp for exmaple...the only thing that happens is the overall volume gets lower when I pan left or right, but it doesn't go into mute out the left or right speaker as if I have stereo.

I updated the firmware and all software but still only getting mono. I'm not sure if I might have messed up the panning on the front panel inconjunction with the main output?

I do know, when I unplug the Left or right Main output cable....the Same thing happens to my audio as it would if I panned left to right on winamp....so I'm thinking its something with the device up front.

Open CueMix FX (the virtual mixing board installed with the MOTU driver.)

Check your output settings there. You need to set the balance there (or width).
