DP Windows and Nanocontrol 2

Post by manwalksintoabar »

I would be eternally grateful if I could get help installing nanocontrol 2 and DP8/Windows.

I can't make heads or tails of it. I would like to use it for recording in mod data on string samples. Can it do this? I like something like the Evolution U Control uc33.

Any thoughts?

DP 8/Windows is very, very fast. I can load up lots of synths, kontakt and string samples and no hickups. I am only using a lenovo i5. Pretty impressive.

Thanks,

mwiab

I have the Nanocontrol 2 transport controls working on DP8 Win. Can anyone help me with the following. . .

I want to record automation data, especially expression and volume and would like to use slider 8. I can't seem to get this to work.

Any thoughts.

Thanks.

The Nanocontrol 2 has two modes. DAW mode and CC mode. You have to make sure it is in cc mode to control cc data like you are describing.

Starts on Page 5 of the Manual

http://www.korg.com/uploads/Support/nan ... 760000.pdf

Also I believe you need the Korg Kontrol Editor software to set it up so it transmits the proper channel info you want.

From the manual.
The nanoKONTROL2 features two operation modes: DAW mode, in which each controller is set up for a specific DAW controller; and CC mode, in which Control Change messages are assigned to the unit's controllers. To engage the desired mode, turn on the unit while pressing and holding down the button that corresponds to that mode.

Thanks for the reply. I have it going now. It does some strange buggy things but I can live with it. I can draw in automation however drawing in expression does not seem to be working.

It should work. Volume works.
