Apple DLS Music Device Not Found

Apple DLS Music Device Not Found

After a system crash, failed backup restore, and re-install of OS 10.3 from CD, am struggling to put things "right".

I'd prev used Apple DLS Music Device for Soundfont files, but DLS is no longer available from the Add tracks menu. I believe that I have Setup -> Interapplication correct...? :oops:

The Sounfont files appear in Garageband, but "grayed out". I'm really not sure of the adverse effects that software install would have on my DP 4.12 app, preferences, projects, etc. I performed Software Update to get me back to 10.3.9, and this is now my only unresolved "artefact".

I appreciate any help from the Forum.

Check and see if your IAC Diver is activated in Audio/MIDI Setup
