Hello all,
I'm just trying to figure out how to use one instance of Machfive in Logic while being able to to access all the different sounds via the sixteen different MIDI channels in one performance in Machfive. It seems that when I'm in Logic, that I can only use one MIDI channel per instrument track, and that seems very limiting. I don't want to have to open up 16 different instrument tracks to use one performance of Mach Five. I'm sure that there is someway to do it....some way that I don't know. The manual reads like translated stereo instructions for Logic.
I've used Machfive many times in DP 4.52, and it worked great by being able to just pull up the outputs of the MIDI channel track and route them to Logic. How is this done, or even can it be done, in Logic?
Thanks,
Wes

step input keyboard window
I had the same problem when i startedto use mach V,
The only way i found is to use the step input keyboard window, you can set up which MIDI channel you want to use when insrting a note by pushin q key of the step input keyboard. you need to make sure that in the instrument paramaters of machV track, MIDI channels must be set up to 16 or all and not 1 as it is from begining...
If anybody has a better solution, Im ready to learn!!!
I jus forgot, the other solution is to wait for machV V2.0 as you should be able to create your loops directly in Mach V and not in logic anymore!! Just few months to wait but its nearly there!!!
Have fun...

I found that you can get multitimbral use of machfive in logic by creating a multi instrument in the environment and routing it's cable to the mach five channel strip. You then get a new MIDI output that you can select on MIDI tracks. Still can't figure out how to get audio output on seperate channels though, or how to freeze machfive tracks. Then again machfive did fail the au validation in logic.
