I'm using a MOTU Traveler in Win 7. Every few minutes the audio I'm hearing starts to buzz. Once I power cycle the Traveler, it's ok again. I'm using firewire power. Could this be the issue and maybe I need the external power supply? Or is it a clock issue, etc?
Thanks in advance,
Brian

I'm a Traveler owner too. Solid piece of work.
A few quick questions:
What kind of buzz? Like a 60 Hz (or 50 in Europe) kind or does it contain high pitches? Please explain more.
Does the music dropout and in or does it play continuously along with the buzz?

Re: Traveler Starts Buzzing Until Power Cycle
It's just buzzing not like interference, but like a distorted guitar. Then the sound drops out entirely. If I switch hardware settings away from ASIO and back again or power cycle, it comes back... It's funny because at the start it sounds great, but drops out this way regularly after a few minutes.
I've just ordered the power adapter so maybe that will help.

Re: Traveler Starts Buzzing Until Power Cycle
Change your Firewire IEEE 1394 driver to the one with Legacy in its name. It's already on your system as part of Win7. Use the Device Manager to do it.
It will be fine.
If you need help, let me know.
