I'd also suggest taking a look at Meteor. I quite like it.
Is Meteor an iOS app? I couldn't find it in the App Store.

I have no desire to see a version of DP iOS. A good translator to and from one or more decent iOS apps, on the other hand, would be intriguing.

Cubasis is really nice on the iPad. Full Audiobus support and a lot more. Projects import in Cubendo.

As tablets mature so will Cubasis and the other tablet DAW's. A huge growing marked.

I’m dragging this up from the past because the iOs landscape has changed a LOT since this original thread. the iPad pro is phenomenally powerful, and iPad OS addresses the file-management issue amongst other things.

I for one would really like to see DP move on to iOs.

Anyone else? Anyone heard anything to suggest this is in the works?
regards,
arum

I read this whole thread and realized at the end it was from 2013. Sheesh. Sometimes (especially after 7 years) maybe it's time to just start a new thread. I'm sure others will chime in and disagree.

I'd love to see DP Control come back for iPad but DP itself? No thanks. If 2 x 27"monitors leave me wanting for screen real estate... enough said.

Same here.

It would be nice to be able to control DP from an iPad, but running it on a small screen is a non starter for me. For recording remotely, and doing some simpler DAW tasks when away from the computer, there are alternatives.

And there are only so many things MOTU can do at once. I'd rather have them get on top of DP 10 bugs than spend time on yet another software path. Imagine having to keep up with annual iOS revamps, not to mention the infinite variety of Android versions.

Take the relatively tiny display area and subtract the section where the giant meat-glove is always in the way, smudging up the barely responsive display. Fake-button didn't press the first time? Press it again.

OTOH, I've long-wished for a MIDI sequencer with a significant sub-set of DP's MIDI features.

I'll second that DP Control is useful for tracking when you're by yourself. Would love to see it brought to current functionality.
