Suggestions and requests for future update please
Really appreciating all the "small" stuff that has been implemented up till now. Keep 'em coming!
Features Requests:
• mute MIDI notes
• solo and mute buttons in SE
Change:
• the "bypass on/off" in the plug ins are really confusing. Maybe just a nice big green light for "On" and red for "off" or just the way it was till now.
Bug:
• in dp 8.0.2 you can not "hide" dp while bounce to disk. This was possible in dp 7.

Some things I miss from Cubase/Nuendo-
1. Retrospective MIDI record
2. Quantize reset i.e. revert to original recorded position for MIDI
3. Expression Maps

Can you describe what those things are? Perhaps DP has them under a different name/concept...NYFC wrote:Some things I miss from Cubase/Nuendo-

For item 2, maybe use the quantize plugin. Not sure if you're quantizing an entire track or parts. Also, check your undo history to put things back.NYFC wrote:Some things I miss from Cubase/Nuendo-

Retrospective MIDI? Is that something like punch guard? Not sure what you're going for.

Would love MIDI recording to mimic the loop/auto-take-increment feature of audio recording.

Amen brotha! As a piano player, I'm constantly pissed that I can't do the same "sit back and do multiple takes" that my acoustic friends can do. "MIDI overdub" should be a different option from the auto-take loop function they have now.Todzilla wrote:Would love MIDI recording to mimic the loop/auto-take-increment feature of audio recording.

Re: Suggestions and requests for future update please
A nice, fast and friendly Sample/Loop browser. Ala' Ableton Live, where you could preview a loop while the song is running and the loop plays in sync with the song's tempo.
But honestly, I would change all these features for a new crash free update, I'm still getting a lot of problems with 8.02, I hope we don't have to wait another 6 months to get the next update.
Best regards.

Re: Suggestions and requests for future update please
PLease fix window saves so that the controller bar stays where you put it in the save rather than revert to the top.
Please implement the same features that were in 7 with inserts like option click bypass and opt/command copy to another tracks etc. These features were a MOTU/industry home run and should be returned in the future.
Fix CPU performance window issues.
Still waiting to buy. My experiences were from client sessions at his studio with 8.03 earlier this month.
Thanks
GB

Hmmm.... So how is that working now? Those features are gone in DP8, or they simply changed the way to do it?Timeline wrote: Please implement the same features that were in 7 with inserts like option click bypass and opt/command copy to another tracks etc. These features were a MOTU/industry home run and should be returned in the future.

You can still option click bypass plug in.FMiguelez wrote:Hmmm.... So how is that working now? To copy the plug into another insert slot just hold down option only (instead of option AND command) can't complain on that one.

Re: Suggestions and requests for future update please
Option click turns plug bypass on/off and control-option drag copies plug with settings to other tracks. Don't know that that was ever not working.Timeline wrote:Please implement the same features that were in 7 with inserts like option click bypass and opt/command copy to another tracks etc.
Edit: Maybe just option drag ala Chaim. I've been holding the control key also maybe for no reason.

Really. I was pressed for time and didn't check that out as I should have. Rushed I guess, OK I have to ask you guys, do the right left buttons move the sound bites all the time when selected and highlighted?

Move the "wait for note" function over by the transport.
