control surface mystery

Post by cloudsplitter »

I have DP 8 and my mackie control surfaces work fine with it...but when I open DP 7 I have no control surface and it doesn't even show the driver option in the control surface set up pane..?/ can anyone enlighten me why this is is..it is like DP 7 no longer sees MIDI or something,,,I am baffled...?? I just want my control surface back in 7 because I am still partially working in it on some old files. Thanks in advance. Mark

I hear you. I had the same problem. Also my joy stick I use for surround panning wasn't recognized any longer in 7.24. So.... I got rid of DP 8 and did a fresh install of 7.24 and all is good in the world again. When DP has a fix for this, i'll look at it again, but for now I'm sticking with DP 7.24 and 10.6.8

Plus I have to be able to use Quicktime pro 7.6.6 for sound design and scoring. QT 10 doesn't see window burned time code .MOV's.... Go figure. :shake:

let us know if you hear something from Mackie or MOTU on this.

Yeah, I knew better than to go with 8 and 10.8.3.....everything was working fine...now half my plugs don't work etc. etc....well, live and learn I guess. I doubt MOTU will do anything about it so I'm not even going to bother to contact them.
