Strip Silence—greater sensitivity
Anyone else wish that Strip Silence was more of an Exacto knife? I record my own demo vocals (often many parts) in the same room as my gear. "1%" is the lowest setting for Strip Silence, and I find that that setting regularly cuts off the beginnings and endings of words. It's such a useful tool—I'm hoping DP allows us to set the "gate" lower in future releases.

I agree.
It is a great tool and it would be nice to have more fine tuning available at the lowest settings.

Here's a little tip for that issue:
After you do a strip silence. Have the graphic editor window open. Select the entire track, so all soundbites within the track are selected. Now edge-edit one of the bites to move the start-point earlier (all other soundbites will do the same). Repeat with the end-point. This way you have expanded ALL regions in the track simultaneously. While you're at it, you can add just a little fade in and fade out.
Now you can listen to your track and fix any oddities (which will be few) and add back any breaths, etc.
ALL THAT SAID... I'd like it if strip silence added at least a 10th's place below 10%.
