PCI-324 Nuendo won't launch

Hi, so we had to reinstall XP as no amount of deleting registry or ghost driver entries would get the MIDI back, however on re-install Nuendo won't launch it hangs as it initialises the vst connections. This system works fine with Reaper and Reason and Nuendo 2.2 will launch if we disable the MOTU drivers.

So we are stumped, any one have any ideas or any links to older PCI-324 drivers for XP, we've can only find the ones on the MOTU website.
