I have a 4pre, a headphone amp, and a headphone.
Can I use 4pre as DAC so that I can connect the front panel headphone jack to my headphone amp and then plug my headphone to the amp.
will this generate good sound? Or do i need to purchase an additional DAC.
My headphone is AKG K702.

Yes. The two connectors on the 4pre that are labeled with headphones, plug your headphones in there. You'll probably get better sound by not using your amp (less is more), or by connecting the amp to the main or line outs, not the headphone outs.
