Motu 8pre Loud Noise

Post by enrycone »

Hi everybody.

I'm a facing a weird issue with my 8pre. Randomly audio output turns to a scaring loud noise. You have to run to switch off audio cause is really annoying. Often this issue is anticipated by clicking and popping audio.

My Hardware:
OS: Windows 7 pro 64bit
RAM: 4gb
CPU: Core 2 Duo

IEEE FireWire mini

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like maybe you're losing clock sync. How do you have the unit clocked?

Thanks NazRat,

Actually I'm not able to answer... I know... I'm a real newbie about digital interface and I own a Ferrari interface!

Sure I'll check asap and I'll give you feedback.

Thank you so much.

Here am I.
Master clock source in Motu Audio Configuration is set to internal.

Clock in front panel is set to 44.1.

Is it the right configuration?

Thanks!

Should be good. Any other digital devices connected? If not give MOTU tech support a call - may be a config issue with your computer.
