Hard Drive Mounting Screws & Grommets for Mac Pro
Where can I find some screws and grommets for the additional hard drive trays for my Mac Pro? I acquired a spare hard drive and it didn't come with these parts.

Maybe call OWC,they don't show on their website but I think they might have them or know where to get them.

If not them I think most authorized Mac repair shops should be able to get these.

Re: Hard Drive Mounting Screws & Grommets for Mac Pro
Don't the hard drive "drawers" in a MacPro have captive screws built-in? I don't think I've ever had to use the included screws to mount a hard drive in my MacPro.

I think you are correct Jim,I assumed the trays he had might be missing them
I've never tried removing them,I wonder how easy is it to remove them?

And I figured the opposite... that he was looking for the screws that normally come with a new hard drive and hadn't looked at the drawers in the Mac Pro! Those are captive screws... I don't think they can be removed.

at 1st I thought the same thing then thinking these types of screws are readily available I assumed maybe the Apple proprietary captive screws might be what's actually being sought out......
I guess this is a question only a skankyboy can answer.

Yes, I am referring to the screws and grommets that I assumed would be in each of the spare trays. None of the spare "drawers" have any. I got this unit used and, perhaps, the previous owner removed them? This is my first Mac Pro so I don't know if the spare drawers are supposed to have them or not. Either way, I am not having much luck finding some.

Now that I know what they are called, I have located several on Ebay. (Not cheap)
