Installing DP 7 on new Quad Core

Hi. I know this has been discussed, but I can't find it. I have a brand new Apple Mac Pro Quad core and am trying to install DP7. I have the installer disc in the drive, added my name and key code. Still nothing. Any ideas? The computer is 1 day old, so I don't want to start deleting things and going crazy with adjustments. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like it might be Mountain Lion incompatibility with the DP installer. Can you boot from another machine and start the new machine in target mode and install that way (on to the new machine HD)?

Thanks for the suggestion. Per MOTU tech support, I had to download the 7.24 update. Open that with the 7 install disc in the drive. Then open 7.24 from the applications folder. DING!
