Apologies - I posted this in the wrong area before (not sure how to move/delete it)...
I currently use a MOTU 828 MKII (Firewire 400) configured for use in a Live environment (using Brainspawn Forte 3 as VST Host) as follows;
Main Out (1/2 [L/R]): Backing Tracks
Aux Out (3/4 [L/R]): All Soft synths
Headphone (Mirror of Main Out): Click track
So the drummer who uses the headphone output gets the backing tracks AND click. This works great but I need a smaller Audio interface ( I don't need inputs - just outputs).
I have been looking at the MOTU Microbook II and notice that this appears to have what I need but unsure if I can route Phones the way the 828 (and also Audio Express) as it seems to rely on Mixes set in the software which appears to be mixes of Inputs plus 1 Aux Bus of Audio from the pc.
The question is, I suppose, when I see the Audio Interface in my host, what outputs will be presented? Can I set up the Microbook as desired and outlined above?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance!
