Hate for this to be my first post

I was excited to see DP is being written or ported to a Windows Platform. It was sometime ago when MOTU made the announcment. At what point does a piece of software become classified as vaporware? Perhaps they should have refrained from all the propaganda and verbiege on the Website until they were actually closer to releasing a product.

For many reasons, I am not an Apple fan and have been wating for a Windows solution.

I'm glad you avoided the temptation to be negative, lol

Windows8 and MountainLion were both released subsequent to the initial DP8 announcement, I know ML threw some major changes at software developers and I can imagine both of these OS releases have been a major reason for the delay.
With that being said it's not vapor ware, and from what I've been told the next DP8 update should be an update for Mac users and will coincide with 10.83 and will also launch DP8 for Window users.
MOTU didn't release DP8 forMac until this past September or October,they want the initial Windows release to be amazing so they are being extra careful and have been working out the DP8 kinks with Mac users 1st.
DP8 is a total rewrite code wise of DP so it wasn't a small upgrade.
It will finally be here when it's ready to be released,many Mac users want to use the Win version for slaves, we want the release as much as Windows users do.

It's in beta. This being their first Windows version they are taking their time to get it right. If you're new to DP, this is a very complex piece of software that has been in development for literally over 20 years on the Mac side. This was no simple port.

You're probably looking at a summer release. Just be patient.
