Thought you would. It's not likely you'd be using something with coloured tracks for years and not notice something wrong.

Exactly! I would've found something weird by now.

I started acing them all... until I got to some of the bottom ones... I got worried because I started to NOT see any numbers or recognizable patterns... Uh-oh... Turns out that, ONLY for those, one was supposed to see nothing :lol:

Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,

Don't you guys think the background color of the muted SBs (when in the volume layer) looks too similar to the unmuted version? That's what I mean by more obvious.

I think that's what threw me off. It's easier to focus on (or ignore) the background color of the SB rectangles than doing it by looking at the actual waveform color, especially if one uses shades of the same color for different tracks.
