Sharp looks like it will be the one for me :). Love those icons.

Just had a question - is there any way to enlarge the font for the numbers (start, stop, song name, etc) below the counter, as well as the font size for the numbers in the SE ruler (Gonna be 50 this year... my eyes keep telling me this)?

Thx for all your amazing work!

They've opened up so much, but size of fonts is not one of those things.

Thx for the reply :) - I'll have to send in a suggestion to MOTU for this.

On many themes I'll be making fonts lighter against dark backgrounds for contrast enhancement. That should help a lot.

No, Neither is fully updated for DP8. Oxidized is not usable. You can't see the tabs, for one thing, and there are some other things, but I don't remember what they are. Gotham is very close, but could benefit from changing some of the backgrounds that are now possible to customize, like the background to the edit windows. There may be other issues; I don't remember. I've been using Gold/Mellow Hybrid in absence of Gotham and Oxidized, my favorites. I'll try working in Gotham tonight and report what I find, so that it will make it easier for you to find and fix it. Oxidized is just too far out even to limp along in. The tab thing is a no-starter.

Warmer is another that could use an update (unless you did that and I forgot). Several of the old ones have the tabs problem. I figured you were just very busy, which is ok; I'm willing to wait for the good stuff. I just hope you're still working on them.

What I meant was, I thought I had gone through and made sure the pre/post fader thing was fixed in all the DP7 themes. Don't worry, Shoosh, I'm on the path to getting all these done now.

That's freakin' amazing, Andy. I can't get over how different it looks from the original Sharp, and yet it's obviously the same thing. There must be some significant GUI elements that were not accessible previously, and you obviously found them and figured out what to do with them. Without meaning to be a pest about it, this makes me very excited to see what you do with my favorites; Gotham, Oxidized and Warmer.

Keep up the great work. You know, MOTU's themes improved dramatically with DP8. But with what I've seen of your improvements so far, MOTU needs to take some lessons from you on theme-making. Don't get me wrong; their stuff looks really, really good; it's just not in the same ballpark with yours, though.

It's a never ending learning curve, Shoosh. Just when I think I can't do anything more, a dozen new approaches present themselves. I feel like this new version of Sharp is a breakthrough for me in learning how to do some new things. And yes, MOTU opened up a BUNCH of parameters that weren't available before.

I'm going to put development pics up for mods in progress on my site. Links will be underneath their current DP7 versions...

Thinking about providing an option between the way the mixer works now, and this more traditional fader cap option...

Thanks for the full-window screenshots, Andy. Again, Sharp blows my mind. I'm not fond of gray interfaces, but this could convert me, and if not for your others, I probably WOULD use Sharp. There's nothing like something so easy on the eyes, where everything you need is just so perfectly obvious.

Of course, credit must be given to Matthew Davidson for his GUI design. That's the foundation of every theme we'll ever see in DP. It's just that your work makes full use of what he provided, and makes it beautiful. I look forward to seeing what emerges from your studio. You've continually set the bar higher than expected, then raised it yet again.
