Maybe someone can point me in the right direction with my random crash on a project. I think (hope) it's limited to this one project. It seems to happen when I'm selecting a section of audio or tweaking an automation line. When I restart, it's better, for a little while. The project also wants to recover an audio file when I start it up after one of these incidents, so I usually click "recover." System deets:
imac 2 ghx core duo 4 gb ram
os 10.6.8
DP 7.24
Mach5
I have the crash report, though I'm not skilled enough to make use of it.
Here it is.

Re: Seemingly random crash
Do a search on PerfFoundation.dylib and you will find it on many crash report sites but no one seems to know what it is. A lot of reports from 2004-2006. All of the reports I found online indicated that DP 3 or 4 was installed.
The only place I find it on my machine is in a memory dump from 2007 that traces back to DP 4.12. I don't know if it is part of DP or a 3rd party library.
Performer‚Ñ¢ 4.12.app/Contents/MacOS/PerfFoundation.dylib (executable /Applications/MOTU DP4 Folder/Digital Performer‚Ñ¢ 4.12.app/Contents/MacOS) to address 0xefd05000
May 1 19:35:40 localhost /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: Will check and redo_prebinding on PerfFoundation.dylib (executable / Applications/MOTU DP4 Folder/Digital Performer‚Ñ¢ 4.12.app/Contents/MacOS)
If you have old versions of DP on your machine, you should probably remove them completely.
Last year I had a nasty crash issue that turned out to be the help files from Finale 2006. You sometimes never know.
