Hi everyone
Here's my update to conclude my situation.

I am very pleased to inform you that I am the new proud owner of MachFive 3 and have also been allocated a new serial number for my product.

Sincere gratitude goes to Lorne at Motu Techlinnks for all the patience and understanding I have been shown to get me through my dilemma and also thanks to everyone on the Forum who has given their time to advise me.

Thanks guys

:woohoo:

It is quite possible you bought a copy of M5 that never had a serial number. The competitive upgrade, when purchased from a reseller, does not have one. The serial number, in this case, is not issued until the card is mailed in with proof of ownership of the qualifying product. The iLock code is included In the box so the product works. You could easily have bought one of these second hand.

No matter. All's well that ends well.

Make sure that you have the latest 3.1.4 update released on 2/21/2013.
