Control surfaces for MOTU 2408MKIII & MOTU 1224

Hi all!!!

A newbie here in this forum, not a newbie on the audio world.

A simple question: are there any control surfaces that are well known as to work OK with MOTU interfaces?

We own a MOTU 2408MKIII and a MOTU 1224 connected to a MAC PRO 2010 (Quad-core, mid-2010, 2.8 GHz, 16 GB RAM) via a PCI-424 card that are working perfectly.

We would like to know if there is any possibility of controlling the MOTU interfaces with a control surface, and if it is, if there is some kind of "official list" of control surfaces that are compatible with.

The iPad controller looks good....though I am looking for a "desk" control surface, if any...

I would like to control the MOTU with a "physical" control surface....call me "old school" nahahahaha...but I'm really seeking for that type on control surfaces you can touch in real....
