That's all great but so far I've not been able to get this to work. It works fine when I switch my MOTU on, up until I reboot my PC, then all the trouble starts. Then I'd have to power down the MOTU, reboot again, and repeat the entire process. It's a drag and I'm definately not planning on doing this for the rest of the time. So far there has not been a permanent solution, so I'll dual boot for now as it works flawlessly on WIN7 and start looking at other interfaces that are stable on WIN8 and sell my 896 Original unfortunately. I'm not going to sit around for a year and wait for an update. To be fair the 896 Original is quite old, so maybe it's a good time to upgrade.

The core problem is Windows 8's "Fast Startup" option in Power options. This has to be DISABLED. The MOTU driver does not seem to handle this on my computer. Neither the latest beta they gave me or the newest release on their site. So DISABLE it, and it should work.
