Does anyone have a method for hosting virtual instruments on a separate machine (than the one running DP) that requires no additional audio hardware? Does it work without major issues? Latency?
Anyone using Wormhole2 for this?

Re: Virtual Instrument Slave Machine?
Vienna Ensemble Pro is highly recommended for this. The only thing you need is the utility and an ethernet cable. Audio and MIDI are transmitted with virtually no detectable latency, and it allows for offline bouncing for all machines on the network with no additional hardware.
I must say that I've never used Wormhole, so I do not intend to make a judgement on it. I'll leave it to others who have used it to chime in on its unique benefits.
