There are instances were people have done this with certain elements of a mix, but it’s still a bad idea and gimmicky. And not everyone likes the sound anyway as you’ve found. It actually makes me and other people I’ve known feel dizzy when listening to out of phase material.

I think stereo enhancement is one of those things that is over thought by people starting out in production. It’s really not that important.

I’ve played around with the Quikquak thing. It’s kind of fun, but I wouldn’t put it on a whole mix, I wouldn’t put anything like that on a whole mix. You could try it on a stereo element of the mix so it’s not so drastic if you really want it.
What do you all think about slightly panning the final stereo tracks a tad left and a tad right to broaden the spaciality, or do you think this might create a hole in the center?
I don’t really understand this. The stereo tracks should be panned all the way left and right.
