hello everyone
i've been using a Euphonix MC Control control surface with DP8 and it works pretty well.
i've just gotten an Akai MPK-49 keyboard controller which also has transport controls, and i had the idea to see if i could add it as an additional convenience transport controller for DP.
as yet i have not gotten it to work, possibly because it doesn't adhere to any of DP's control surface protocols, but also possibly because i'm simply not doing it right.
the MPK-49 offers the choice of MIDI, MMC, MIDI/MMC, or "control". i've configured Audio MIDI Setup to include the MPK, and the MIDI Device tab in bundles has it also.
i can use the MPK to trigger MIDI notes, that much is working fine.
do any of you have experience getting the transport function to work? i've tried a couple of different options in the DP8 control surface setup (HUI and Mackie mostly, thinking they're the most common) but still no luck.
adding transpo from the MPK really isn't a deal-breaker -- esp. as i don't want to mess with the MC Control, since that's already doing an awful lot for me. just trying to ice the cake a little bit more with this.
best wishes to everyone for a productive, stimulating and CRASH-FREE 2013!
O-2k
