As Windows 8 don't have FW drivers, what will happen to our FW cards now? I run Windows 8 (64 bit) and Sonar X2 with my Motu Ultralite MK3 in FW mode. It works, however, it seem as there are some issues with latency on FW on Windows 8. In Windows 7 I fixed this by switching to 1394 OHCI Legacy drivers.
Anyone knows if there will be an update for win 8
Anyone run Motu Ultralite MK3 under USB on Windows 8 (64 bit)?

Problems running Ultralite Mk3 USB on Leonovo Yoga 13, windows 8 64bit. I have updated firmware to UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid Firmware v1.06 for Windows and installed latest Audio Express Firmware v1.04 for Windows. Windows recognises Ultralite Mk3 but no sound, trackpad becomes unusable and touchscreen does not respond.

Just bought a used one off ebay a week ago and I'm trying to get it setup now. I use it in Reaper with Windows 8 (64 bit). It runs fine for about 15-20 min and then it either starts popping and crackling or I start getting "Audio Device disconnected or turned off" messages. Nothing will recognize it in firewire mode.
