Preferences folder

Dear staff and members of MotuNation, I just subscribed to your forum, and I'd like to ask for help.
I've just received from a friend of mine some files of settings for DP8.
He told me to put them in the ~/Library/Preferences/Digital Performer folder. But... I don't have it...

Shall I create it manually?

Sorry, I forgot to say that I'm using Mac Os 10.8.2.

The preferences for DP8 are now in folders that start with com.motu

Is this folder supposed to be in ~/Library/Preferences? I can't find this one either...

Yes, they are in your user library preferences folder.

Your library is probably hidden, since you're using Mountain Lion:
