About half the time that I start DP8, I get no splash screen as it starts up...... otherwise it works fine... DP appears top left in the menu bar, and then the next thing I see is the folder containing the last file I worked on.
Anyone else getting this? Otherwise I don't seem to have any problems at all....

update:
switching to 32bit brings the splash screen back - all seems normal
quit and switch back to 64bit - no splash screen but DP loads in less than 10 seconds......

Might have been in a cache from the last load. Like loading from SSD, only faster.

My splash screen did not work after the DP 8.01 update. There were some other problems as well, so I repaired permissions and all was well again. I posted about that episode somewhere around here.
So, after all that the splash screen worked a couple of times, but it stopped working again. I'm going to try cleaning out caches and see if that makes it reappear.
