Of Course there is. If I remember correctly you option click the tracks' name and change it.

You can do that, Dwet, but just plain ol' clicking works too.
Just think of it, all bredo had to do was click the names.

Bredo, if you're on a Mac it often pays to click first and think later. :D

Dweet: You can't "option click" in Windows, due to there being no "option" key.

Monkey Man: No, just plain clicking does not work under Windows.

And neither does Alt-click, Ctrl-click, Shift-click, Shift-Alt-click, Shift-Ctrl-click, Ctrl-Alt-click or Shift-Ctrl-Alt click either.

Sorry Arth - I didn't even realise we were talkin' Windows here.

Sounds like you've tried just about everything. :?

Re: Rename inputs and outputs

Post by Joachip »

I just added a 24 I/O to my system, and realized it's a bit hard to remember what I connected to the rather large number of inputs and outputs.

This page says I'm out of luck because I'm on Windows and not OS X: http://www.motu.com/techsupport/technot ... -interface

Despite this, I wonder if there are any tricks or work-arounds to somehow assign more meaningful names to my inputs than the default ones? Maybe some tampering with the registry or an .ini file?

I also wonder why they don't offer this option for Windows users?
