I had the same problem, called MOTU and Lorne sent me the link, they're looking into it.Elektroakoustika wrote:Weird. Motu.com's download section says there are no updates available for my account. And I even checked to make sure my copy of DP8 is registered and it is....
Thanks Gravity Jim, that finally worked for me.Gravity Jim wrote:When I logged in on the front page, it would not show me the link, no matter how I came at it.
But when I logged out, and asked the program for the update, it took me to an internal log-in page. When I logged in there, the link showed up.
Man, that was quick! MOTU rocks.
Yes it used to be like that.. Strange.. I like the fact we always could go back and forth between new and old versions..Gravity Jim wrote:Hey! The updater didn't create a second copy of DP.... it just left one application in the folder, and it's DP 8.01. Didn't it always used to make a new one, and then you'd have to throw the old one away?

Hope this will be enabled again.
The Keyboard Focus Bug is GONE! It runs great! MOTU fixed everything as far as I can see, and it's running molto perfecto on my system!Dwetmaster wrote:Pleeeeease... tell me the keyboard bug is gone...
I can confirm this on my system as well! The Keyboard Focus Bug is GONE! It runs great! MOTU fixed everything as far as I can see, and it's running molto perfecto on my system!
Name the original DP 8 install "Digital Performer 8.0.app", this will avoid the updated version from wiping out the old one. For some reason, Motu stopped putting the version numbers on the app icon. Like you RG, I like the option of being able to go back to the older version if necessary.Radiogal wrote:Yes it used to be like that.. Strange.. It's becoming pretty standard for OSX app names to not include a version number any more (see pretty much all Apple stuff). My guess the above is a result of MOTU conforming to this.Gravity Jim wrote:Hey! The updater didn't create a second copy of DP.... it just left one application in the folder, and it's DP 8.01.
