I very recently purchased GPO4 and it works great in Finale. I also recently upgraded to DP8.
But I'm having a problem getting accurate playback of MIDI files in DP8 with Garritan GPO4.
Simple MIDI files with like a measure of a C chord played in quarter notes results in the first 2 quarter notes being played and the second 2 quarter notes being skipped. However if I play the same file with UVI or an MOTU instrument like PolySynth the file plays perfectly.
I have tried simple MIDI files of type 0 and 1 saved from Finale and others downloaded from the web and the same problem exists and it often seems to be just on repeated notes or chords.
I have also tried different ways of adding the MIDI file to a DP project - drag and drop with merging tempo with the conductor track and just a plain old file open; all with same results.
I alos made sure both DP and GPO4 were in 64 bit mode.
Appreciate any and all help,
Thanks
Chris

Re: DP8 and GPO4 Issue
Do the second set of notes play if you delete the first set of notes, or put them on a separate track? I recall instances where a note in a VI will not play if that same note is already playing, even when the VI is polyphonic. Doesn't happen with all VIs or in all cases.
If this is the cause, a small gap between the two notes will fix it.

Re: DP8 and GPO4 Issue
What Bayswater said.
I have the same issue with Kontakt and the Kirk Hunter Strings (and others).
If I have two E4 quarter notes, for instance, the first one's duration can not exceed where the second E4 begins. IOW, in the Graphic Editor the two notes can not "touch" or the second note will not play.

Re: DP8 and GPO4 Issue
Just subtract all durations by a tick or two in the region and you should be fine.

Re: DP8 and GPO4 Issue
Hi Guys
Thanks that definitely seems to be the issue for Kontakt 5 and GPO4 odd thing is that on 10.6.8 with DP6.03 the same files play perfectly with K5 and GPO4.
Appreciate the help!
