10.8.2 and errors installing UAD updates

I have gone around with Apple making sure I'm in an administration user account. I have reloaded 10.2.8 with the available Mac boot assistant and even replaced my password with my DVD of snow leopard several time and with all that, still I cannot load that latest 6.3.1 04 6.3.2 UAD update.

Everyone tells me it's something on my machine yet nobody knows how to fix it. I have loaded updates of FX, Motu, Vienna, BFD, every conceivable OTHER companies updates and they all work flawlessly but not UAD. When I tell UA about this for the second time they just say everyone else's works fine. I really confused about this.

The error says I must use a higher admin account to access or install the software. I'm able to load it in root though no problem. Only with UAD.

I read somewhere about an issue with either Lion or Mountain Lion where user accounts are not responding properly to permission settings for some installs. Sorry, I can't remember where I read it. The only solution was to re-install as I recall.

I thought about that but it's SUCH a hassle as you know. Because UAD is the only one and I loaded it in root I decided to just leave it. But, I'm still looking for a guru that might tell me which file to pull from he system folder to fix it. I think it has to do with an error in gatekeeper which was added sice 10..6.8. I hate Gatekeeper.

Gatekeeper can be turned off in Preferences. Apple broke a lot of things that were not fixed properly till 10.8.2. Anyone running Lion should be on 10.7.4 or 10.7.5 with the supplemental update. 10.7-10.7.3 is a mess.

Do a Get Info on your target folders and make certain that they have Read and Write Access and Permissions for all accounts and that your user account(s) are listed. In not, add them and check apply to enclosed files This is how I got DP 7.24 to open my old projects (DP 5.13-7.01 had no problems with them). If you have migrated files over from another computer by cloning or copying instead of Migration Assistant or Time Machine, expect to find this.

Repairing Permissions does not fix anything the system thinks you don't have access to. It will surprise me if this is not your problem.
