how do i record cuemix fx 828mk3 with cubase5??

how do i record cuemix fx 828mk3
with cubase5?? yeah i cant seem to get the config right to record in the compressor & limiter. i want it to record with compressor & limiter when i do final bounce but doesnt seem to pick it up. ive messed around with the send returns but cant get it right. what is the basic setup config to do this?

somone inlighten me please i have the dynamics switched on on the master main 1-2 ouput but cubase5 doesnt record it into final bounce?? and that compressor & limitor sounds wikked please help

Just using the virtual Return pair on the 828 worked for me. Here's a screen shot showing a mixed track going to the Main outputs, and a new track, Audio-5 recording from the Return pair. Note that MOTU Audio Setup has the Return assigned to the Main Out. So whatever comes out of the that Output, also appears on the Return. Make sure you are applying the effects to the Output bus in Cuemix.

The Cuemix FX shows some extreme filtering which can be heard on Audio-5 in DP.

thanks bayswater, pretty sure i tried that with the returns set on a audio track. so i geuss it records the final mix onto the audio channel 5. thanks for your help dude

nice 1 bayswater, that done the trick so ust to using vst's its just abit baffling with the way everything has to be routed with the motu but yeah its recording the cuemix fx now

Good you got it working. Think of the 828 as a traditional 32 channel eight bus mixer that happens to be digital, with a A/D/A converter at the back end, and digital effects like most digital mixers, all in a tiny box. Then the routing makes sense.
