Looking at the short movie above, does DP function this slow for anyone else? I just put in a new video card to help with re-draw to no avail. Driving me craaaaazy! Any ideas? Thanks - - - >

Yes, that doesn’t look abnormal from what I experience. I’m hoping it changes at some point.

Thanks for the reply. I am taking my Mac into an Apple Store tomorrow - I'm wondering if it is something with the computer. Other music apps seem to fly compared to DP but I still like it the best. I remember a day when it wasn't this sluggish. What is your computer configuration?bongo_x wrote:Yes, that doesn’t look abnormal from what I experience. I’m hoping it changes at some point.

DP reacts much faster here. Not instantaneous, but close. Something is amiss with your configuration, I would guess.

Re: DP 7.24 Sluggishness - new video
I am running DP8 under Mac OSX 10.8.2, with dual monitors, and I'm not seeing anything like that kind of behavior. My installation seems to run just like DP7 did. I'd seen a fair amount of complaint about this sluggishness but had no idea what it really looked like. That does seem pretty heinous...
Is there any process by which we could figure out what users who are experiencing this problem have in common?

Yeah, it's maddening. A good process would be for people to send screencasts of their experience. I'm in contact with MOTU about this (they say my screencasts are way slower than what they are experiencing as well) and will post what we find. I did find out at the Apple Store that both my Macs are fine.Gravity Jim wrote:I am running DP8 under Mac OSX 10.8.2, with dual monitors, and I'm not seeing anything like that kind of behavior.
