I just received DP8 today and installed it straight away. But the only result was crashes...
Yesterday I have received this message from Flux:
«Today we have released new builds for all our software.
It is important that you update to the new build as it contains a range of minor bug fixes for various problems that caused unpredictable problems and that could lead to unstable DAW projects.»
So I downloaded the new versions: 2.4.8 of my Flux Plugins that include:
- Alchemist
- Epure II
- PureCompII
- PureLimiterII
I normally use them in Digital Performer, version 7.24 for quite a while now.
Perfect
Today I received Digital Performer 8 from MOTU that I have installed straight away.
Unfortunately, everything went wrong and in fact, DP8 crashed all the time at launch.
But one time, for whatever reasons, it opened.
I had a look at the Audio Plugin Preference and I saw that all the Flux plugins had failed the AU validation!
I sent the Re-examine command and DP said: No problem... and it crashed!
I remove the Flux plugins from the Component Folder and DP8 opened with no problem.
I put them back and I opened DP 7.24: no problem!
Conclusion: DP8 and Flux plugins are not compatible.
I sent a message to both Flux and MOTU.
Wait for an update...

Re: DP8 and Flux Plugin: Incompatible
I received a message today from Flux and they acknowledge the problem. Strange that they knew that their plugins and DP8 were not compatible and they launched a new version any way two weeks after DP8 was released...
