DP 8, Clippings and Duplicate ReWire MIDI Outputs

Post by Twitch_12 »

I'm having an issue where every time I drag a clipping containing a MIDI track that outputs to a ReWire MIDI output, I wind up getting a duplicate of that ReWire MIDI output in the MIDI output menu. Drag 7 clippings, get 7 identically named ReWire MIDI outputs, but only the most recent one works. This means I then have to go and re-assign every ReWire MIDI track in the project to the most recently listed ReWire MIDI output every time I drag a clipping that is assigned to output MIDI to a ReWire device. In my case, I'm using Plogue Bidule, but I can't help but think this may apply to all ReWire slaves.

I can reliably reproduce this behaviour with ReWire versions 1.7.1, 1.8.1 & 1.8.3 and Plogue Bidule versions 0.9716 through to 0.9727. Both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Rewire, Bidule and DP 8.

Is anyone else able to reproduce this behaviour?

I'm having the same issue. Even without doing anything, I get duplicate bidule channels. Have you found a solution yet?
