G5 Dual 2ghz pci + ide drive

Post by Burnie M »

installing an ide drive instead of the optical drive works... just wondering if it is possible or what issues may result by slaving and optical drive and a HD on the same ide bus.

Cheers in advance

DISASTER RECOVERY grrr

Post by Burnie M »

my only not fried FW chasis is occupied on a G3 tied to Diskwarrior in preview mode. copying data from f%$*d drive to G3 then burn to DVD - while i can... -> most of my recording drives have been corrupted -> 'most' repaired. data transfer from this bad drive (156gb in preview) is something like 400 mb per hour. Then copy to Brand sparkling new Gg to burn.

New G5 -> life saver!!!

Ram in Powerbook -> how many ways can i say GRRR!!!

Calm blue ocean -> beer & hangover will be over before last batch of files finishes copying to G5.

Wish me luck.

I have faith in Diskwarrior!

If you havn't backed up do it now. yes... NOW!!!
