For some odd reason I cannot get more than 16 MIDI channels per instance on MachFive 3. I tried re-installing the program but lo and behold I found no MAS version of it in the install options (just RTAS, AU and VST). The weirdest thing is that I can get 64 channels using the RTAS version in Pro Tools 10. I'd much rather do my sequencing in DP8 (awesome program!) and wonder if there's a way to increase the MIDI channels to 64 since MachFive 3 supports that many
Thanks kindly
David

Re: Mach Five 3 and multiple ports
It's an AudioUnits limitation. Can't find it now but somewhere in the docs, it says you need to use it standalone, or in a plugin format that supports more channels to get the 64. Do for DP, that means standalone.
Too bad about MAS which would have supported 64 channels -- why drop it from MF 3 but keep it in DP 8.
